Hash key missing in Windows on Macbook

This is going to sound daft I expect, but just tried to do a bit of VB on my Macbook Pro in windows, and I can't find the hash key anywhere - anyone know how I can get it ?

ALT+3 in OSX... not tried in Windows.

you will have to use Character Map afaik.

press

start > all programs > Accessories > System Tools >> Character Map

select & copy
