Hassle getting SLI working in XP

Sealed in my Sarcophagus.
Ive just got another 7800GTX and installed it and everything. Sli option will not enable and in device manager it shows 2 7800GTX cards installed and one says "this device cannot start".

Ive been all though the BIOS on the DFI Sli-dr board and i cant find anything that seems to make a differance.

Any ideas?
 
Yes been through all i can think of. It appears that on boot up the second "display controller" isnt showing in POST which i assume means its either not behing given a IRQ or its not able to start somehow. Ive tried disabling just about everything and even manually reserving IRQs and such.

Nothing seems to have any effect! this is driving me mad now. Each card works fine in its own, but when i enable SLI via the jumpers and install both cards it just wont allow the second one to enable. :mad:

edit: just updated the motherboard BIOS and it made no differance. Im stumped now.

With much wailing and gnashing of teeth ( and a good nights sleep to calm myself ) ive finnaly got it working!

After swapping round both cards and messing about getting them to independatly work separately in both slots one by one it suddenly decided to work. God only knows :rolleyes:
