TimeMuffin for 4.5 on one i got anything below 1.340 is unstable. But in weeks time my OC tuning plan kicks in and will be at 1.35 or 1.36 depending where 4.5 is stable enough for myself :) depends what your cooling can handle.

Is there an option in your BIOS called "spread spectrum"?

Flip it off or on (the opposite of what its set to currently)

Found the setting and it was on Auto so I set it to Disabled and it looks to have helped a bit:

How come your memory is only 2333 for 24/7 use? Mine is set to 3300Mhz all the time lol :p

3300? Are you sure about that? What version of CPU-Z are you using lol?

Use 1.70 or later or it reads it incorrectly.

You'll struggle to get 3300 fully stable. To test for stability run 16 instances of memtest pro with 75% allocation and aim for 400% pass. If your OC is unstable it will fall over pretty quickly.

Edit: Sorry if you're running anything below 5960 run 8 instances ;)

Just an example, 2750 run

But i'll be back! ;)

Best part about X79/X99 is the bandwidth, you don't want to be running one DIMM. Speed will be limited on DDR4 as well I'm willing to bet

Sure this is the case, however for us mere mortals I haven't seen much which indicates whether 4 sticks or 8 sticks of 1/2 the size is better (in previous gens I seem to recall the fewer sticks the better for overclocking up to a point), and wondered if this is still the case with ddr4

I'm not saying you should use one DIMM. :p

Just that bigger DIMMs are now easier/cheaper to produce. RAM disks should become more popular for a start. AMD might shift a few copies of that app. :D

All I know is 32, or even 16gb DIMMS will be slooooooow. :D.

If you need a crap load of memory though it's great news. Although I can't imagine the IMC will thank you even on a mild overclock with 4 sticks of 32gb :p

The audio on this motherboard is really impressive, unlocked Realtek DTS via optical 5.1. Awesome sound, better than my Asus Xonar's, can't fault this mobo at all at the price.

Best setup I have used, love my lil 5820k, purring along at 4.0Ghz doesn't even hit 60c :D Desktop use and full loads temps are excellent.

I'll 2nd that Boomstick777, I was hesitant giving up my Xonar prior to upgrading but the on-board sound quality has won me over.

Looking forward to my Samsung xp941 coming in a few days and another 16GB ram.

Nice one :), I've got a Samsung 850 Pro 1TB coming, gonna throw all my games on that and keep using this lil 840 Pro 128GB SSD for Windows.

That's all my upgrades done until 20nm GPU's launch..
