Regardless my 5820 is happily running at 4.6 1.32v, this evga sc acx 2.0 is a lovely card, happy at +90 +400, which gives about 1530-3905 with boost.

Nice setup :), my 5820K will do 4.6Ghz as well. Def the best bang for buck CPU atm.

Same here, just using multi gets me up to 4.6Ghz. Tbh these days I game PS4 / X1, this setup is wasted on me tbh :p

Been looking at the small form factor builds, low power but able to game if I ever wanted. These are looking more and more appealing to me over these massive desktop builds, on PC I spend most of time reading, online s media, web browsing and watching movies. Would likely stop me pumping loads of money into upgrades as well ! It's def more out of habit than need these days :p

(about the size of a PS2) admittedly it struggles at 1080p, but tweaking the settings in most games the sweet spot is 1680x1050...not bad considering it's only got a 2'' high, chopped down cooler with the fan blowing AWAY and up from the APU

I do prefer ITX to the larger ATX rigs...just the challenge of cooling :D

Nice, I'm gonna have a play with a Zotac EN760 Plus Mini PC soon (GTX 860M ~ i5 # 2core/4thread. (System, IDLE 14W ~ LOAD 65W). I love the fact that the tech is shrinking down and still able to run games etc while using a much smaller footprint.

I don't think it's quite good enough yet to really consider replacing my main PC yet, but I think by 2016 onwards I will move to just building small form factors. AMD's HBM, Nvidia's Pascal with on die memory, die shrinks # Intel's CPU's # AMD's APU's etc and low power consumption DDR4L, should make a real high end game experience possible in a really tiny PC, using a fraction of today's power consumption. Will no doubt save a ton of the electricity bill as well :p

Until then it's big old high end desktop..

Latest 'GA-X99-UD4 - F12' Bios has seemed to end my boot up woes with different memory speeds.

Now at 2400mhz and no issues, also you get a nice free OC with higher memory speed and default CPU clock, for some reason the higher memory speed the higher CPU clock speed, this works for Xeon's as well.
 
Man this is a thing of beauty now :p

4.0Ghz for day to day use, , max temps CPU 55c (4.6Ghz for benching). DDR4 Memory @ 2400mhz. Everything performing and running awesome. X99 has really come into it's own. Loving this setup, will not part with it now. Looking forward to being able to throw in a 14nm CPU late this year / next year, might even go 8 core. What a monster this is :-D

Nice @ 4.4Ghz these fly. 4.0Ghz is enough for me for normal day to day use. I like the balance between low temps and high performance. At 4.6Ghz the performance is massive but temps can spike high for me, ideal for benching though.

Yeah that's my 24/7 clock > 4.6Ghz for benching.

Passing my Haswell -E build onto the kids as moving down to mini ITX.

Wanted to go smaller for a while and now have to as tower is big for new desk lol. I'll move back if we ever see a mini iTX X99..
 
Yeah my 5820K topped out at 4.6Ghz score 1303, not stable beyond 4.6Ghz, at least not at any voltage I would be comfortable with :p

Gonna be weird going from 5820K > 4770K, however my boys will be very happy with their Haswell -E PC. Hopefully a mini ITX X99 be launched in the future then I'll jump back on :D
