Haswell launch plus how long?

How long does it take to get to a level of maturity where by you can go out and buy with confidence?

Experience shows that buying at launch will show issues. Rubbish buggy bios, stability issues etc. So how long until its all fixed? And you get a decent choice of mobo?

A asus formula and 3770k is looking very tempting right now.

Well luckily (for me) they release this in June so I will hold myself till october (start of university) where most issues will have been dealt with, all manufacturers will have released their mobos, you will find only C2 revision CPUs (without the S3 sleep USB bug) and hopefully 10-20% lower prices than launch price (as usually its quite more expensive at the very beginning). Althought there is very little difference with the 3770K and for sure the price of 4770K will be higher.

Fairly quickly as long as you're smart about it. General research, reading reviews and get feedback from early adopting forum members. So perhaps a month or so after release, it depends what kind of issues show up.
