Hi Guys, I recently updated my Z87 Sabertooth BIOS, to the latest 1901 BIOS. This according to ASUS adds system stability and PCIe compatibility.
My OC 4.2GHz at 1.23Vcore, is stable with Intel Burn Test (max 80oC - 20 passes) and ASUS Real Bench stability for 8 hours. Temps at their max were hitting 73oC on one core, averaging out in the mid 60s, through the 8 hour stress test. These are a couple of degrees above what I was getting with the older 1707 BIOS.
Are these temps still OK? I believe anything below 85oC is deemed acceptable for Haswell. Lowering the Vcore, I am faced with BSOD stop 124 error after around an hour of the stress test.
