Haswell refresh price list leaked

Well we know Intel are have 14nm issues, and in all honesty they use terminology that underestimates their node size. Intel 22nm is actually closer to the 28nm from other foundries in practice (TSMC 28nm SRAM cell size is actually smaller than the 22nm Intel) so I can see why AMD might stick to 28nm.

Any reason intel can't shrink the cpu cores but move them further apart to avoid the overall product getting smaller and being easier to cool? or does economic greed mean they must get as many cpus from a wafer as is possible.

I think that's called profit rather then greed. I would guess that K series chips that get overclocked are in a tiny minority in the grand scheme of things.
