Right im gonna have me £450 to spend on a laptop when i get back off of holiday. Whats my best bet? i want something with 2gb ram and a nice cpu (2.0ghz at least) i know nothing about gfx on these things :( but a half decent card would be welcome as i aint played any games on my pc for over a year lol.

Any help is good help :) Thanks in advance

I'd remove the linky if I were you

You could try them - but have a look at the Custom laptops from this very store.

GPU choice depends on what you are going to play

not a lot really. not too bothered about playing the newest and greatest games.. but i want the laptop to last me 2 yrs min.

Also the cheapest custom on this very site is above my budget anyway.

Oops - didn't notice the £450 limit; sorry.

Pop onto the well known outlet store and have a poke around; some real bargains can be had.

For sub £450 you are not going to get any sort of gaming TBH. Best looking for 4gb ram, decent HDD and 2.0Ghz+ processor and forgetting about the GPU

meh anything will be a step up from what im using at the moment lol. will i notice much difference with 4gb ram?

I aint orded anything yet. I goto italy on friday for a week so wont be ordering anything till i come back. Pure research at the moment. :)

I see no mention of GPU...

The outlet site is a bit weird about GPU's, this is a XPS model so I believe it has to have a ATi or nVidia GPU.

I'd like some clarification as I'm in the market for a laptop seeing as the waiting time for Studio 15 is three weeks or so :/
