Hauppauge setup (Will this work?)

So I've just bought a Hauppauge PVR but I play on my monitor via VGA.

But I bought one of these:

PC VGA to Component(YPbPr) Video Converter

I'm obviously hoping that I can then input my VGA cable from the 360 to the converter then output VGA + component to my monitor & PVR.

Will this work ok?
