If you did get the 6950's i think there is a thread in the gfx cards section which helps you unlock them to a full 6970? i might be mistaken though. Im sure some people can spec you a build, but i suck at doing that so ill pass :D

oh and id look at a better case than the antec 300 if your planning a multi gpu setup, have one myself and whilst its a good case there is better out there for cooling and a xfire pair of 6950's is going to put out a LOT of heat

Agreed with above. You want a spacious case with lots of air flow if you want a multi GPU setup.

Personal recommendations:

CoolerMaster HAF series
Xigmatek Utgard
Antec 902/1200

Is a blu ray drive really necessary?

Do you want a normal Blu ray drive or a writer aswell because you can get one which will read them as good for 50 pounds instead of 100 :)

omg u have pretty much the same budget as i have. and planning to do the same to 2 hd6950s

Here is my list of components, which admitted is above £1300 but not exceeding £1350. I'm not going BlueRay because I download all my 1080p films for free.

I have been looking around for pc parts for my own build recently, but with a few changes to suit your needs i have come up with this build

Only slightly over your £1300 budget :)

looking good. missus is butting in on the case question apparently it has to be pretty lol yeah like that is what i need it for. blu ray just player. so much to choose from still looking for my perfect setup

I like the look of the coller master 690 cases :D.
Just let the missus pick a pretty case and if its a terrible one just upgrade it and blame it on an order mix up or something :P

Well you could also buy the side window aswell , then throw in the led fans :D, I would recommend getting the advanced one (better cooling) considering your going xfire.
