Make sure to have a back up drive if using Raid 0 for any files that you dont want to lose.

If I raid 0 my 250gb and 500gb hdd together would I just get 500gb as in 2 times the smallest storage?

I have 2 external drives for back up and it's done over night so doesn't affect me the slower speeds of externals.

Sorry Cookeh didn't see this post, Gone for the GTX560 because on most reviews I have seen it has been on par or above the performance of the 6950 and sometimes the 6970 depending on which game etc. The main reasons though is that it is shorter than a 6950/70 and well I prefer nvidia.

Taken your advice for SSD and am going to wait and use 2 x 500gb Western Digital blues for now in Raid 0, not for OS but for general use.

why wd blues? get the Seagate Barracuda 7200 drives, sata 6 makes no difference on mechanical drives.
