As title, but not as a pro or anything, just as a hobby however I know absolutely nothing about shutter times, aperature, exposure etc etc etc and reading the threads here confuses me more.

what would be a good camera for a beginner? and what can one do about having "shakey" hand syndrome?

Thanks for the info!!

I was thinking about being a little creative I have had a fujifilm digicam for a while, but the zoom lense stuck on it, so I tried to repair it myself and now have a box camera bits :)

I was thinking of something fairly in-expensive, but that I could get good shots of moving things like cars, air shows etc, but mostly I like photo's of people doing when they are not expecting it, I dont like posed photographs, but prefer it when people are just doign eveyday stuff and you catch a moment in time.

What sort of price for an entry range DSLR?

Ok put my sensible hat on and say I dont need SLR just yet, however I would like a nice digital camera that has some nice functions on, like been able to take photo's of moving objects without it blurring, like when you see the object clear and the background is blurred. (i think it's something to do with shutter speed is it?).

So what digicam should I be looking for and how much? pref not something that's on the high side of the pricing scale :)
