Rockets are a bugger for coming hurtling back down to earth on your car, there was on about 5 foot away from my car, checked for dents but it must have just missed.

Walked to the shops with my niece and there was a lot of rockets on the path/road and some of them where massive, 3 foot long sticks would do some damaged to a roof.

Last year I was sat in my bedroom, at the time I had an X Reg Daewoo Lanos saloon, and at the time I had just passed my test so it was my pride and joy.. some little scrotes were firing rockets from the floor across the gound toward the cars. Lets just say I wasnt a happy bunny and when they saw me (A 6"3 bloke) they soon legged it.

Ive been worried about this as well. Last night they were going off all around and i could hear the rockets falling down and hitting house roofs etc. No one else on the street seems bothered though and they have much nicer cars than me.

not seen a damaged car due to fire works, but last night someone's thetched roof was damaged

11 fire engines, 4 police cars and one ambulance for a tiny little fire

I assume that it was more of a precautionary measure since a thatched roof has the potential to fireball.
^^ Thatched roofs can catch fire easily, if they do, they are difficult to put out because the thatch is designed to resist water, it just runs off.

No fireworks damaged my car, but this morning i spent a while cleaning all the crap off that came from the fireworks...Bits of cardboard and stuff.

So on probably the biggest night of the year for the Fire Brigade, they sent out ELEVEN appliances to one roof fire?

Excuse me if I declare shenanigans on that one.

There were two "smoke bombs" next to my car this morning, yellow and blue stuff all over my (white) car this morning, took ages to get it off:mad:

well on this topic of rockets i was at the gf's last night with her family and our little lad. we had a little display for our little lad and of course let some rockets off 1st and 2nd one came down and we didnt see them anyway the 3rd one was a big one and guess what that landed on lol a 16,000 pound mercedes ML270 4x4 they didnt notice lol but i did as i heard the thud and was waiting to see where it would come down

not sure if theyd do much damage (a big rocket) even the large ones are pretty light once the powders gone

What about the stick falling 100-200 feet

my little collection bout £100 worth

Look at the size of them rockets on the right.

No but I'm having a new mohair roof fitted to the Mazda in a couple of weeks which is going to be about £500! I shall be angry if anything happens to it.

btw never buy a house in North Manchester, It's been like Bazra here for the last week from 3pm-1am with the "Tuscan Raiders" going mental setting their fireworks off! Poor dog next door is going crazy with fright.

Guy I used to work with had a rocket go through his windscreen. I was stood in the garden last night and had a few bits bounce of my car. The dog was quite suprised when a stick landed next to him :)

I always imagined you were short and above average weight. Amazing what different pictures you build up of people in your mind.

When I got home last night, there were 3 rockets sat on the ground right where my car would have been.

There were a further 4 or 5 rockets on the driveway, so god knows if they hit the 2 cars on the driveway.

well I live over the road from the biggest fireworks display in our town (and have done for about 15 years) we get lots of sticks falling around our house and cards but I've only ever seen damage once and that was when a stick went through a wind screen of a car. Personally I tend to find that they fall mostly horizontally and not to fast
