Have I been done?

I walked out of my local Burger King the other week as there must have been about 8 people waiting and after 10 minutes I still hadn’t even placed my order. They were too busy prioritising the drive through and the deliveroo guy that was waiting. As others have said it gets cold even when eating inside so I would hate to see the state of it after bouncing around some guy’s backpack for 20 minutes in the freezing cold.
Even though Burger King has always had better burgers than McDonald’s there staff and quality control/organisation seems to be terrible in every store I have ever visited. McDonald’s are always run Like a well oiled machine fast and efficient whereas Burger Kings are always slow with terrible service

Wait till you try a self service machine converted Mcdonalds, it's like being in the busiest argos at the busiest time of year except all the chavs in there are replaced with either underaged, chavvy boy-racer wannabes that hang out in the carpark or drunk after a night out instead. Well at least my nearest Mcdonalds is..

normally thats the kfc here, although i live in one of the rarest of towns that actually managed to run it's mcdonalds out of business.

Too late now OP, but use Just-Eat in future. It's an agency that links up your local curry houses, Chinese, burger, fish'n'chips and pizza type places, and drivers will deliver on their behalf. Pay by card or cash-on-delivery (so pretty fail safe) and you can book fairly specific time slots. You get status updates as well i.e. "out for delivery".

I concur.
Every McDonald's I have been too (with the exception of one in London) has been quick and easy to place an order and get the food.
I make a point in customising my order so it has to be cooked fresh, and still it's in front of me quickly and efficiently. And the staff always seem happy enough.

At burger king 7/10 times the staff look annoyed, they seem totally lazy or rushed off their feet and the food takes ages when I customise it.
But... Their burgers are so much nicer than McDonald's ...

Unless you use the burger king at the airport in Doha... all the food was microwaved in front of your face... I watched them take the burger packaged out of a fridge, open the paper, place inside and microwave and press a few buttons... It came out like a soggy mess. Tasted like nothing and was a super expensive waste of food.

The McDonald's at Dubai tasted like cardboard and the nuggets were a relic from a bygone era... Tasteless and hard.
The fried were like sticks of mash potatoes. Never again.

I love those Barclays adverts, in the process of upgrading an old site to a new system but the current one doesn't have an SSL installed (new one will once the move has been tested) but a concerned customer didn't want to place an order on the site checking out with PayPal (with SSL) because there was no padlock on the product information page.

Not a problem, instead she called the phone number listed on the website (easier to obtain ftp details on a shared server to edit the phone number) to tell us the site was not secure and insisted they placed an order over the phone giving the phone operator their full address, card details including codes and expiry (needed for phone transactions) which anyone in the office could quite easily overhear and write down to use anywhere in a future date and not have it traced back to us. In one company I found out their VOIP phone system still used default basic username/password to control their entire account so their calls could quite easily be recorded and diverted without the customer knowing.

Just get your IT guys to install a free SSL cert and you're safe as houses! Time to start selling fake UGGs

Oh, I know what Just Eat is. Burger King is not on JE in my area and the Mrs wanted BK. I didn't think it would be such a palaver using their official site for delivery. Live and learn.

So, safe to say Burger King has the worst "customer service" I have ever had from any company. Ever. 28th December was when I emailed them about my issue. Today is the 15th Jan and I was emailed by customer services on the 8th Jan asking me questions I had already answered in my initial email and telling me that all BK's are franchised blahblahblah. Since then, radio silence. All of their social media outlets (Facebook/Twitter) just respond saying "Customer services are best placed to deal with this" which is fine but they don't contact you back! Gah. Not really sure what to do now. Wait and hope? :(

KFC are pretty bad as well. My mum and sister went to a local KFC and left when they were in the drive through lane and there were rats running about by the back door and bins area. I dropped them a twitter message and they asked me the questions which store, what time etc... And then... Nothing, Nada... I drove past a couple of days later as its on my way home from work and they were still there.

To be fair, I think most fast food places have rats outside due to the bins and litter but you rarely see them. Setting traps down wont get rid of them. They probably just contacted the store and told them to make sure the place was clean and stuff is binned properly.
