I bought an X1950XT, popped it into my computer, plugged in the power (for the GPU), it worked for about four minutes, started installing the drivers for the GPU and.. plonk. It just turns itself off.

Now when I try and turn it on, I only get a slight noise from the computer, not a beep, just like it's trying to power up. I've tried leaving it, unplugging for a while, nadda.

It's an over-clocked Core2Duo (2.4Ghz > 3.2Ghz), 2GB RAM, Antec 350w PSU I think, and the GPU is now a X1950XT. Have I overpowered it? Do I need a bigger PSU..is the original still fine?

Bums - I tried switching the GPU back to the original and it still doesn't boot - is it definitely the PSU? :s

And would a 450w PSU be that much better? Should I go for something more than that?
