Have I brought the right CPU? E6300.

Not here to argue....but mean as you have gave a cocky reply here's one back...
How was it a cocky reply? You said you saw my reply, yet you quoted my retracted statement anyway. I simply asked you why you bothered to quote a retracted statement if you'd already seen it.

For someone who's "not here to argue," you're very quick to do so, and very quick to come out with condescending crap like "it's called search." Do you post in Graphics Cards very much? You would fit right in there.

Well for a wise guy with 5 1/2 thousand posts i would say u r still in noob status when recommending without researching that's pretty ( NOOB ) to me.

( Not sure what his problem is to be honest. )

Then why bother replying when i did not post anything offensive all i said was replying to your quote...you did quote me!

Oh no, you called me a noob. Now I know what it's like to be called names by a 12 year-old. :(

I don't mind being corrected at all, which is why I retracted my statement in the first place.

What I don't get is why you had to go trying to make it personal with petty insults like noob.

@Ulfhedjinn

Yes i see what you wrote and i just answered my quote. ;)
Then you wrote: Why quote and reply to a statement that's been retracted if you knew that?

where is the problem there....Like i said was there any need to give a reply to the above the way you did...what i first wrote which you quoted me and then easyrider proved the 6ooo's are better.....you could have replied back to me with something simple like no prob's but instead you led it on futher than needed.

Sorry m8...but from what i've seen so far there is no o/c that impresses me from an E4300....if it's highest overclock people are after then the 63/64 are best way to go IMO....otherwise would only recommend it if going full budget!.

4300 = lower fsb required, so ram can be kept at tighter timings.
& less heat
& its cheaper, lol.

All you said was "I personally would not get an E4300...only if you are buying a cheap mobo + ram." If you had given a detailed explaination like easyrider then I would've been convinced.

Also, I'm more likely to agree with easyrider because I know how experienced he is with overclocking. I don't know anything about you, and you didn't say anything about how the E4300 actually performs.

Cheers guys,

I brought the E6300 on the basis that I wanted at least 3Ghz from it. From what I've read most people have got 3Ghz from it.

Ive heard that a few people have said that the E4300 produces more heat but does look like a good clocker. I kinda hit the buy button on spare of the moment!
