Check the items listed below in HijackThis, close all windows except HijackThis and click Fix checked:
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [MSConfig] C:\WINDOWS\PCHealth\HelpCtr\Binaries\MSConfig.exe /auto
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [rson] C:\WINDOWS\System32\rson.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [hplwvv] c:\windows\system32\geohucb.exe
O23 - Service: System Startup Service (SvcProc) - Unknown owner - C:\WINDOWS\svcproc.exe
Click Start > Run type services.msc > OK
In the list of services find:
System Startup Service (SvcProc)
Rightclick that line and choose Properties.
On the General tab Stop and set the service to disabled.
In HijackThis click Config > Misc Tools > Delete an NT service
In the dialog box paste: SvcProc
Download, install, and run CleanUp!
Reboot into safe mode and run NOD's scan.
Try scanning with AVG Free. I cannot recommend that program enough.
OP, also use Malwarebytes .
MSE + Malewarebytes gets rid of most nasties.Avira, Avast or Microsoft Security essentials would all be a better choice of anti virus to recommend currently.

No, its not. I haven't found a better program - if someone wants to reccomend one, I'll give it a try on a clean install.
What's wrong with AVG exactly? I'll give MSE a chance.
Although it has improved a bit with version 9, traditionally it has had poor detection and removal rates.
Removal could be a bit better, but I can't really say the detection rates are low.
