I intend getting a 4k monitor soon, just wondering if my power supply will be able to supply enough watts for a graphics card for it, ill try to get the best one that is available, I've got a corsair 750w supply, will this be enough do you think?

Haven't got a clue on what g card, just the best one that someone recommends to me really sorry just haven't got a clue on g cards. Just wanted to be sure I didn't need to get a bigger supply

You'll be fine with that for one card, probably fine for SLI too TBH (I find people overestimate their power needs more often than not).

For one card, shop in confidence :-)
 
That 750W powersuppy is likely going to be more than enough for any single card, you have no need to upgrade it.

What graphics card are you thinking of getting?
 
OP I would suggest you do some reading before you get a 4K monitor as you do not seem to be aware of what SLI or Crossfire is. Even a high end Titan X has what I call just about playable frame rate on high settings at 4K in the latest games.
GTAV 48 fps on high quality and 29 fps very high quality.

Your power supply will handle any single card and most crossfire/sli setups, espically with power consumption coming down in newer cards.

I'd be more concerned however about 4K on a single GPU, it isn't really practical. You'd probably want two of these which is going to set you back well over a grand. On top of the price of the monitor!
 
Very good points about the need for a multi card setup for decent 4k experience. In which case a 750w probably wouldn't cut it, and you would likely need an 850w minimum I would imagine.

That's what I did and got myself a TX 850 in case I ever went dual card, I made the mistake of not going modular though :(
 
lol at this thread :D

fwiw i run 2x GTX780's in SLI and a 4770k - no overclocking - driving a 4k monitor from an EVGA Supernova 750G2 psu, and with system fully ramped with everything maxed the whole system draws 500w at the wall.
