I received 2 emails today from Blizzard. Both of them saying I have attempted to sell my accounts for Diablo 3 and World Of Warcraft. Therefore my accounts have been banned because I can't sign in.

I can't sign in because I have never had an account. I have never owned either of these games nor any other of Blizzards games.

So have I had my ID stolen?

OK thanks. I was getting a little worried because I recently purchased Guild Wars 2 and had to get a refund because, apparently, my email has flagged up for hacking.

I have no problem accessing anything on Steam, Origin or UPlay so I think I'll just stick to these.

Diablo, Runescape & WoW are the three main accounts "I'm trying to sell". Ignore it, it's just spam trying to get your account even if you don't have one.

I get loads of these on my old hotmail account, they started after buying a CD Key from a less reputable site years ago. Have never owned any of the games i'm supposedly selling :)

Of cause some people fall for them..

Or they would have given up making these spam e-mails years ago... ;)

To be fair it requires little effort to make. They can rip an existing Blizzard email template and get a "decent" copy of it in minutes.

Then they can use email hunting software which automatically find valid email address, then use a mass sending application to send the emails. Even if they don't get that many, it's no skin of their nose;)

Yep they're just spam emails - I don't even play anymore but get them almost daily on my old email address :p

Yeah ignore m8 but dont click on any links in them they have keyloggers in them so they are hopping you go onto your account to check and then they get your details. They are scum of the earth people that do this.

Just plain spam, I've had plenty of these emails, and some from Jagex (runescape) court case, I get loads, no need to worry.

i still get mails about nigerian oil and getting $20million into my account and tablets to make my penis bigger..................

They are on my old hotmail account which I rarely use, other than when I want a good laugh at the poor English and Grammar in said mails. I read them back to myself using the Omid Dhjalili standard Nigerian accent :)
