my £25 a month contract with orange has ended a week ago and they could only offer me one old nokia phone on upgrade which was a tad annoying. so i have just signed up with O2 online. The contract is £35/pm for 12 months, 400min 500txt and free Nokia N73. I didnt want 18 month contract cause i didnt want to wait 18 months before getting a new phone. Now chatting to my mates today they say its not a great deal and that they are getting 1000mins 1000txt etc... is the one that i hae gone for ok?

The other thing thats a bit annoying is that the N73 has been out for a while and i would really have liked to wait for the N95 but i needed a phone. Is there anyway i can get an N95 now or is it to late. eg. ebay my N73 brand new, use my N73 for 3 months then ebay it, send the N73 back and ask O2 if i could have the N95 as soon as it comes out instead? i dunno, whats the best thing to do?

There might well be better deals out there but if you won't be using more than the limits and can afford the payments then it isn't a major problem I wouldn't have thought.

Selling your N73 isn't likely to get enough money to purchase an N95 without a fairly significant cash sum added by you I don't think, I also doubt that you could just ask O2 to send you an N95 instead (it is supposed to come out in March if memory serves) as the difference in the value of the phones is likely to be quite large particularly when the N95 is brand new.

You could consider cancelling that contract and going for a cheapish PAYG phone for a few months until the N95 comes out and then moving back onto contract, you should be able to port your number onto PAYG and back again easily enough. :)
