As regards performence how much will it out perform this card :

It will be faster, but I am a little surprsed that you ordered now with the new cards on the horizon...

Well my friend has a 8800 GTS and it looks great so i just ordered one , it was only after i see the 9600 but im not that bothered got a good price for that 8800GTS Extreme , i guess i could always upgrade in 6 months again if need be.

I've just bought one too...upgraded from an 8800GT G92. I know new cards are around the corner, but I've had six months out of my GT and I'll upgrade when prices drop...the starting prices for new tech graphics cards are over priced.

You might have saved a few quid on that card if you'd have waited as the new cards will knock down the prices of the older ones, but still nothing to be too sore about - still a damn good buy.
