Have I ordered enough coolant!?

O.k. so I went to the garage today to pick up some distilled water for flushing my radiator and noticed that 1L didn't seem as like as much as I thought it would be.

I have ordered some Thermochill coolant (1L) for my loop and am wondering if it will be enough?

I going to be running a CPU block, GPU block, 280mm RAD and a single bay reservoir, do you think 1L will be enough coolant for this?

If not, will I be able to use de-ionised water to top up the loop (as it is much cheaper than getting more coolant shipped to me)?

Thanks :D

My loop, which is cpu gpu, 360 rad and res/pump barely uses more than a litre. If in doubt, why not keep about 200-300 ml of your distilled water and add it to the coolant if you don't have enough?

Great, that is good to know. The garage is only just up the road so I will grab another litre if necessary. I was just double checking to see if it was o.k. to add the de-ionised water to the loop along with the Thermochill stuff.

Thanks :D

How much is enough also depends on how frequently you change/flush your coolant in your loop. The longest I've gone without a change is 12 months, and the water condition was pretty bad... normal regular change cycle is every 3 months. At that rate, using anything but de-ionised water gets expensive quickly.

Thanks a lot :D This is my first water cooling loop and that is really useful information to know.

I have a CPU, GPU, NB, 360 rad and a bay res, which uses approx 900ml.

Brilliant, thanks :)
