Hey all,

Just noticed recently that you never see the following anymore,

Where loads of codes would go along the bottom and you could phone in for £1.50 to choose a song.

Is it just me or do none of the music channels do this anymore?

Only thing I could think of is that Youtube and alike have stole all their business since they offer the same for free,

Or do they still do them just not as much,

It all seems to be charts on The Box and the rest of them,

Sam

Its not just youtube, even TV providers started doing it too. I'm not sure about SKY, but with virgin media for a minimal fee (or free on the XL tv service) you could use music on demand and there is many more tracks available then what some of the music chans used to offer, and for less money too.

If sky has a similar thing, then it would basicaly make the music channels charging money for music pointless as people can do it cheaper elsewhere.

As mentioned with virgin Media I just pick what music I want with Music On Demand...Failing that there's always spotify. Something else the other night I had to go through over 5 music channels to get to one that actually had some music on :S

Why would you want to pay £1.50 to choose a song?
Thats £1.50 that you could put towards beer or food to consume while watching it online.

I say good riddance, mobile phone premium lines are like idiot tax, for people to buy ringtones they could get from the internet for free, and for people to pay for music videos they can watch for free, and everything in between.
