Im saving up at the minute for a new cpu i have a q6600GO @ 3.60ghz at the minute (my x9650 died sadly) but would like to get the q9550 @2.83ghz, i know its not out yet but would i really notice much of a performance difference ?

Spend the cash on 8Gb of RAM. Just took my Vista 64 (Q6600) from 4Gb to 8Gb and holy hell!

Vista has happily soaked up 3Gb and the thing is more responsive than a criminal on the end of a tazer!

well this is my setup right now-

OS: Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate 64 Bit Edition
CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad 6600 GO @ 3.60GHZ
Ram: 8GB OCZ Reaper
MB: Gigabyte GA-EX38-DQ6
Cpu Cooler: Titan Amanda
GFX: ATI HD 2900 XT 1024 MB
PPU: Physx By Ageia
PSU: 800W Tagan
Case: NZXT Lexa Classic

no clue it just fizzled out and died, intel told me it was a manufacturing fault, i just got my money back and ive put it away for the new 4xxx series from ati when ever that comes out :D, and ive really not noticed any difference going from the C2QX9650 to the C2Q6600G0

Replace the Radeon with a 9800 of some sort? Only upgrade I can see that's worth making... if you play games that is.

What sort of monitor is this hooked up to? Could always consider upgrading that. BenQ make an excellent 24" LCD that has every connection you're ever likely to need at a great price.

That is an awesome spec.

Why the PhysX though? Does it get used regularly?
