Heard this as a rumour from my brother, and noticed that there ARE camera signs both at the entrance and exit of blackwall tunnel.

I cant SEE any cameras, although it was mentioned that they might be average speed.

No speed cameras are there yet :) They do have CCTV cameras inside the tunnel but no SPECs or anything like that.

The signs have been there for a long time. Definitely no cameras AFAIK but it's really not a place you want to be speeding unless it's 3am ;).

Ahh.... that was fun. The midnight one, anyway. Shame the ***** in the scoobies screwed it up at the end...

There ARE specs style cameras in there now, installed by TFL, they aren't currently being used to catch people but it is highly likely they will do so at some point.

Just be careful in there...

There ARE specs, at least in southbound tunnel, installed as a part of variable flow control, seen the system being tested few nights ago, there are light boards on central strip now, every 50 meters or so which can display temporary speed limits and at some point, one would imagine TFL plan to do some serious k'atching on tidal flow restrictions...

I stand corrected!

I must admit I've no idea what PHTR is either. I'm also assuming something Pistonheads related?
