Have the nvidia gfx issues on the xps m1330 been sorted?

My friend has asked me to recommend him a good value portable laptop, but I don't want to recommend this if he has to send it back every five minutes to have the mobo replaced.

Also hes going to be using it in lectures/library etc so needs to be silent most of the time and I have seen reports of poor cooling, does the fan stay off while doing low cpu tasks like browsing etc?

It is, the as the xps studio is too expensive.

So even though these are known to be faulty their still selling them in new laptops?
 
Thats not good, integrated gfx is a no go so is fan noise (which I do see people complaining about with newer bioses). Will have to cross that one off the list.
