Sean Mercer - Rhys Jones' murder suspect. He is 18 years old, lives in Croxteth, Liverpool and I am god damn sure it is the one who used to be in my primary school year. I've just been trying to find a photo of him, but I can't find one anywhere. Has anyone here seen any photos pictures published of him? If not, would pictures eventually be released if he is found guilty?

Not if he's over 18, for some reason inocent until found guilty doesn't mean that the papers shouldn't plaster your name and picture all over the place under headlines like MURDERER.
I agree. It's not fair. They did the same to Robert Murat in the Madeleine shenanigans. Poor bloke got blamed cos he was a good guy.

I've never understood this idea especially in sensetive cases such as rape or child abuse, the victim gets full anonimity while the alledged offender gets none and in a lot of cases regardless of the outcome in court it can ruin their lives. One of the IT teachers in my old secondary school was accused of having kiddie porn, he was later aquited on on all charges yet becuase his name was in the public domain had to leave his job and then move away to escape the persecution. Had his ID been protected he would have been able to retun to his job and carry on living a normal life.
Appologies for being a bit off topic, just something that gets my goat.

You make it sound like thats sufficient compensation. I'd rather not have had the money than be suspected of any of that mess and madelines family friends didn't keep the money.

It's libel, and money is not everything! Every time he meets someone from now on people will instantly know who he is and what he was accused of doing.
