Have to click in the text field every time I send a message on MSN Messenger

The title sums it up, it's very annoying! Whenever I send a message to someone on MSN Messenger, I have to click in the text field before I can send another one. I used to just be able to continuously type without constantly clicking!

Have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software but no such luck yet. Any ideas?
 
I have just started having this problem too! Also my name appears as my email addy by default.. which is annoying.

Never used to do it. Only thing i've changed in the past few days has been to install Safari 4 beta, and to do some security update.. :confused:

Same for me, installed the Safari 4 Beta and that's when the problem happened. Will try and remove Safari 4.
 
Yeah after a bit of searching, seems like Safari 4 Beta is the issue.. not quite sure how.

I'm gonna give Adium a try again, as I really like Safari 4!
