Have to login web for photo message "You've been sent a media message"

For some reason, when my gf sends me photo messages I get a txt off o2 saying login www.02.co.uk/m, enter my mobile and the following pin? it never used to happen until just before xmas?

I've another contact today that this is happening with, why would this be?

I'm with o2, iPhone4, iSO 5.0.1.

o2 believe your phone cannot receive mms messages so it sends hou an online link for it. Not sure what makes them believe that, maybe it attwmpted to send it but your phonebrejected it. Thats my guwss anyway - pardon the typos!

Chiggz is indeed right. Quickest way to fix this is to phone up o2 and tell them what's happening, it's fairly common. It can be caused by incorrect APN settings but I can't remember if O2 use a different APN for MMS and mobile data and I'm too lazy to check

Thanks en3bbs, these a combo APNs, data and MMS centre data together so assuming you have put in all the details it should work without issue. There's some crazy interactive thing here: http://www.selflearning.co.uk/o2/o2_iphone/

Cool Myshra, actually it's worth pointing out (that video reminded me) that if you are on a non iPhone pay monthly tariff then use mobile.o2.co.uk instead of idata.o2.co.uk. Only iPhone pay monthly accounts are provisioned to use the idata APN.

Sometimes when that happens you have to send yourself an MMS picture message to 'activate' MMS fully.
