Wondering if anyone can help, this is an annoying problem, I have a dual boot system for Ubuntu 11.10 and Windows 7, on startup I can select Windows 7 from the boot screen with the up and down arrows, but as soon as Windows 7 gets to the login screen the keyboard no longer works and I have to unplug it then plug it back in!

Has anyone had a similar problem? It's very annoying!

Guessing it's USB?

What keyboard is it?
Is it connected to a hub?
Installed the drivers for it?
Has it always done this with Windows?
Does it do it on other machines?

I saw this once on a mobo that had two groups of USB sockets on the backpanel. The keyboard needed to be plugged into one of them (one of the two beside the PS2 socket) and not the group of 4 USB sockets beside the network connector.

I have the sane problem but with BIOS. Everytime i want to make changes in BIOS i have to unplug the keyboard and plug it back in before it start working properly.
