Since the last iTunes release i have had problems getting my phone to show properly. Usualy when i connect the phone to my computer iTunes freezes for 20seconds or so and then starts working again but the phone does not appear, i had a look around the internet for solutions. I uninstalled every piece of apple software from my computer and reinstalled again as some people suggested. This did not fix it. I have found only one temporary fix, and that is restarting the 'Apple Mobile Device' service. Each time i restart the service itunes freezes again, but then usualy after restarting the service 4 or 5 times the iPhone shows up and everything seems normal... Getting a bit annoyed with this, any ideas?

No message at all, literally nothing happens in iTunes at all.
It would happen to me aswel, itunes would freeze as soon as I connect up my iphone 4 and after around 20-30 seconds it starts working again but gave me a message saying:
"iTunes cannot read the contents of the iPhone..."
I managed to fix this and now mine gets detected, MOST of the time. Itunes is really useless software though imo.
How did you fix it?
Download and install 'ifunbox'
Run it while your iphone is connected to your PC, it allows you to view the files on your iphone.
Go into the itunes folder and delete the file 'iTunesDB'.
Try then and it should work, mine actually didn't and I deleted one other file which I can't remember the name off from the top of my head but I will check for you when I get home.
Since then I have ticked the option 'start itunes when iphone is connected' and the 2-3 times I have used it since then it has been fine. Try that and see how you get on first.
