Have you ever been scammed?

Yes bought fake 12 month live on the bay, the guy had all positive feedback. ending selling hundreds of it scammed many people. what a douche. learnt my lesson though

Once,it was on another computer forum about 6 years ago. Purchased a new copy of Windows XP OEM for £50, he sent a picture with his name on, all looked fine. Got it and it was a Dell copy with no COA that he said was stuck on the back. After emails back and forth he disappeared.

On the bay i have,Bid and won a Blu ray film...was only about £12 but still,Never recieved it and seller never replied to me or the Paypal/ebay dispute team... so i did get my money back. :)

Once, off the bay. Seems to be a common thing :(

I was new to computers, the internets and associated risks at the time. Bought a phone to replace a contract phone I'd lost and had no insurance for.

Phone worked fine for a couple of months, then it was blocked.

Passed the details to a police friend of mine, but was unable to get anywhere with it.

Since then, I've gone to the opposite end of the spectrum and trust no one. I've even threatened to eject door to door salesmen off my property if they don't voluntarily go away when I've answered and said "not interested."

An African princess once asked me to safeguard a very large sum of money to assist in an escape attempt. Her father had died under mysterious circumstances and she feared her uncle would take advantage of the regime change to do away with her and seize power for himself. She was to deposit the money in my accound while she left the country and she would reclaim it once she reached a secure place, leaving a tasty commission for me.

Her uncle must have got to her or something, because when I checked my account there were no transfers of any significant value in - the ******* even took the £7.20 I had in there

I hope she escaped his tyranny, but I haven't heard from her since.

In Cuba, I foolishly exchanged my US dollars "convertibles" pesos (local pesos), rather than just the regular pesos (tourist ones) when I was assured it was the correct type of pesos! :( Ah well, it was part of the experience.

Other than that, I'm too cautious despite enjoying risks! :p

I recently bought a kebab and asked for chili sauce and garlic sauce.
Got back home with it and they hadn't put the garlic sauce on. It's going through small claims court as we speak. I can't name the restaurant for legal reasons.

That kind of stuff really ticks me off lol, i now always check my food before i leave a takeaway
