i've probably spelled that wrong, but you know what i mean so i dont care. saw it on offer in HMV the other day and it sounded pretty good.

i dont normally ask for film advice, but i'm bored at work so i thought i would!

have they just done a good job writing the blurb or is it any good?

some of it is really really good, some of it is very slow and i found it easy to lose interest!

Soundtrack was amazing, as were the action sequences, so this made up for the slow boring bits!

i was hoping you'd post, and i was hoping you'd say that as well

Love the film, and the intense action and beautiful cinematography easily make up for thhe dull moments in the film

It's a very good looking film and I thought it was great. It's done the same way Sky Captain and the World of Tommorow was but looks better.

The story is a bit convoluted and confusing though but it's based on an anime so that's to be expected.

HMV have it for £5.99 on the web so if it's the same instore it's very good value.

Truly terrible film.

Sure the effects are technically amazing, but they're so over the top that they completely fail to get you to suspend your disbelief, and which point you realise what a load of content-less tripe the actual film is.

I liked the film, looks really greta the way they have shot the film, but it is very slow in areas. I did drift off at a few parts but when there was action i was hooked.

I love it. It's awesome eye candy, and the plot makes.. er.. vague sense. Sometimes.

Eye candy wise it's fantastic though, I love the setting and battles. Very, very over the top though, it's a bit like a two hour music video sometimes.

Mine's in a swanky metal box

Everyone who said the soundtrack was good.... you're absolutely correct! At times the movie started to slow down and lose me then I'd hear this music and no joke my jaw dropped mid movie. I was blown away by the soundtrack and thats all I could comment on for days after. Although the people I watched the movie with just didnt appreciate as much as I did.
