having a bootup problem.. please help :D

hey guys i have this strange issue with my pc atm. when ever im finished using the pc and shut it down i turn it off at the wall.

when i come back to it the next day and turn it on, the pc powers up for a few seconds then shuts down and then boots up without a problem.

this only happens if i turn the pc off at the wall after shutting down tho, i can shut the pc down, leave it for 5mins while still turned on at the wall and it will boot up without a issue.

anyone got a idea of what this is? thanks guy.

Whats your full spec.
Make and model of your PSU?

And let me get this straight. If you turn your PC off normally then it boots up fine.
If you turn it off at the wall it does a re-boot.

hey if i shut down my pc as normal (start>shut down) and then turn it off at the wall. when i next turn it on at the wall and boot up this is when i have the issues.
if i shut it down but dont turn off the at the wall i have no issues.

spec is:
core2duo e8400
asus p5q pro
4gb ram
hd 4870

corsair hx630 modual psu

I've had a couple of PCs that do this, was never sure if a board or PSU feature but I believe it's just a power test. All Asus boards too
