Having issues with 8800GTX, need help please!

try reformatting your computer?
then install the latest drivers
make sure the card is in the slot propperl;y etc....
and make sure your moniter plug adapter is propperly hooked up to the card?

I'm not formatting my PC for the fun of it, its clearly not a Windows / driver related issue as its done it on both of my Systems...

It's also clearly not the monitor, not hooking a monitor up properly does not crash a computer lol!

Once again, thanks to all those with useful advice, have raised an RMA with BFG and await the details to send my card back :)

I had the exact same problem with my old BFG 8800GTX 768MB - never managed to screenshot as i always had BSoD straight afterwards. It was always no problem in windows but as soon as i tried to play games etc it would all go to pot after about 10 seconds in. RMA'd to BFG (i asked for a UK Franchise so i didnt have to post to the states - they gave me an address in Caerphilly) I got a nice shiny BFG 8800GTX OC 768MB version back as replacement within a week :) top notch service if you ask me.

Awesome cssreg, thanks for your advice, will ask for a UK address myself :)

Finger crossed I too get an OC upgrade for free :P

awesome - they even let you track its delivery status when its being returned if you keep your eye on the RMA status page on the BFG webby so you will know (approx) when its on its way back to you.

Hope you too get a free upgrade. :) good luck.

Nice one, dont spose you ever found out what the problem was?

Probably a bit late in the day, nice one on getting the replacement.

This problem has happened to me on a few occasions, and is nothing to do with the graphics card! For me it's when I jog the TV Card in the PCI socket (if I fiddle round the back of the case and knock the cable ahrd enough).

Nope, I had no contact from them at all. The package contained a delivery note and the new card, that was it!

BFG really do have Customer Support second to none. Have had to rma to them in the past and they are quick and very responsive. I wish more companies would take a leaf out of their book (Asus anybody? )

Here is GTX speed

however please bear in mind this is the cpu @ only 3.0ghz :o

I cannot take a more recent picture cos the pc is down atm :(
