The issues I'm having I thought might of been software, so installed W10 again.

At random points, my monitor will loose it's input and I'm forced to hold down the power button on my PC.

My PC boots, but then I notice the resolution has changed to lower and I'm unable to open AMD adrenaline

It says this https://www.amazon.co.uk/photos/share/NwDOvHJvNWvPYKKDp3lt9Gh2cSVcKFDMLievLVeH1xY

Any idea on what I can do?.... I'm getting a clear image without artifacts, but doesn't seem stable... I'm not doing any overclocking

By random, do you mean that it happens when gaming, idle, browsing, etc?

I assume you have tried different cables and cycling the monitor inputs?

I’ve seen faulty display port cables do some very strange things. Like driver time outs. Blue screens and even stopping the monitor from coming on.
Back to your problem. If this happens again please go onto device manager and look at the graphics setting. If your card is not there something is not right. Can you try the following. Download the latest AMD graphics drivers. Disconnect your network card or Wi-Fi. Using the factory reset option to install your drivers. Connect network back. Go to windows updates and check your upto date. However before you do any of this swap the video cable out first. Report back. Can you also make sure you are on the latest motherboard bios and drivers.

I would run Display Driver Uninstaller and install latest drivers as suggested.
Do you have dual BIOS on the card as I wouldn't like to attempt flashing if it's randomly locking.

You dont need to run DDU Adrenalin install has its own "clean install" option just tick it at the setup.

Also @Helen Barber we need your PC spec including type of PSU.

Hi, it's new. I'm going to stress test it tomorrow and see what happens :)

with the GPU been new and you tested for faulty cables the PSU would be the next option in my opinion.

however just to cover all bases, when i first ordered my 6600xt it would not show any display. it was as if i didnt have a GPU in the system, i RMA'ed and got a new one boom same...
after a little googling i found a few posts about the 6XXX GPU's not playing nice as Acer Monitors and i had an AOC(Acer) i ordered a new screen and it works perfectly.
when i was looking i did see people complaining about the 6900XT so i can only assume it as the same bug.

its something to do with the way the monitor and GPU talk at boot about resolution.
Most monitors say Hi GPU give me 1080p, and the GPU says Sure thing there you go...
Acer monitors say Hay GPU what you got, and the new AMD GPU's says i can go 8k you want some...

then you get the input not supported message like i got, i did get it to boot with my old monitor a few times randomly and it would throw up a message resolution problems

Check your windows power plan, try setting to high performance and disable PCI power management in the advanced options. Make sure your chipset drivers are up-to-date and it may be worth considering updating your motherboards BIOS as well as checking if there is an updated BIOS for the card. It seems that the higher end RDNA2 cards can be sensitive to the power delivery from the PCI-E slot so anything that can be done to stabilise this is worth trying.
