I am looking to have to Windows 7 installations on two separate hard drives that can both be booted from but I want the second installation to be sort of hidden.
By this I mean I don't want to interrupt other users when they turn the computer with a message asking to choose an operating system.

The second installation was an image of an old hard drive but every time I try and boot from it I get a Boot Error. I am assuming that this has to do with either the BCD or MBR.

Does anyone have any ideas on how I could do this?

Thanks in advance!

Put both drives in, use a tool to scan for startup entries so you can pick which one to boot from on startup.

Then when in each Windows environment, remove the drive letter for the 'other' drive, so it doesn't show up

Mynight I am as I don't have a computer for the other hard drive I am looking to have it on one computer along with its current operating system.

bledd. What tool would you suggest, I tried using Easy BCD to add it but I still got a "boot error".

Sorry for the late reply, I went to a live show at my local theater!
