Having nice stuff...

Maybe they just fell out or something seems very unlikely someone would nick those unless it was a 'friend '

I wondered how many posts it would take for someone to post this....though no idea what the friend bit means.

Nah, they were pinched, if you knew how they were attached you'd understand.

Something like that would annoy you even if it was an old, beat to **** car.

Someone needs to have a word with the owner about his choice of trousers though...

I've no idea how they are attached, seems a lot of trouble to go to just for some rubber gromets.

Do they have a logo on or something or do you think someone was bored, I'm curious as to when and why you think a stranger would wander by and take shine to them.

Where has the car been parked?

One other possibility, have you had your car in at Audi that might have involved work in that area?

Wouldn't be the first time I've seen them forget to put a car back together right after work.

You realise that people nick dust caps right?

It's happened since it was last with Audi. When I wash it I check it over, so will have happened in last couple of weeks. It was parked all day at Brum International station with spoiler up. Wouldn't bet the first time soeone has messed with one of my cars there either!

To help understand what I mean as people seem to be struggling (no surprise why would you know how my spoiler works) but it's the little black bungs you can see on each side below the spoiler. They are screwed on and when the spoiler is open a work of seconds to remove.

oh blimey stop being a smart arse

No no one nicks dust caps where I live, mind you I haven't checked.

So do you regularly have random bits of plastic and rubber nicked from your car?

If so where and when, genuinely curious

So to be clear, you think I made this up or I am mistaken, they fell off? I am not being a smart arse either sunshine so wind your neck in. Make yourself clear.

err no, why is this so difficult, you have a car with some rubber nobs slightly exposed, presumably parked in the street as you won't tell me, somebody random who just happens to be wandering by, checks the coast is clear and carefully removes your rubber nobs that are totally anonymous but are not straightforward to remove. The person can't have been drunk as they would never have successfully removed said rubber nobs.
Maybe they reach down and steal the bog standard dust caps while they are there.

So in summary personally I cannot imagine anyone doing this in the circumstances I would imagine the car to ever be in. But maybe I'm just a country bumpkin who doesn't understand the ways of the big city.
As you are being so defensive I may never get to the bottom of the circumstances.

Of course people have bits nicked off cars! I've had dust caps nicked before (no, all four don't just fall off...) and I'm sure it's for the lols. Personally I'd rather they nicked something small rather than keying a panel though, but wouldn't it be nice if the thought of messing around with someones property didn't even enter their head.

Someone nicked the dust caps off all 4 of my tyre valves last week. I don't live in a crap area. People seem to be getting more and more scummy.

I have no idea where they were stolen, just that they were and hence this thread and my annoyance at such an action.

Your problem is, as you say, you can't imagine but that's not my concern. If you see that as defences you're wrong, hopefully that is clear. Now go get angry in another thread, this one is my angry thread not yours.

Also, I live in the middle of nowhere, if you read above your question might be answered too.....to help you sleep tonight.

We're done.

You chaps get it, my point exactly. Just leave my stuff alone, I wouldn't mess with yours.
