There's a couple of photos I took like this (unfinished) one that a friend wants on Canvas.

ocuk.jpg

Original is a 4928x3264 NEF.

I would appreciate any recommendations on where to go for decent price, quality and service.

How large I will decide upon will depend on pricing but I would like at least 12" on the long edge, standard aspect ratios that seem suitable are 4:3, 5:7, 4:5 and 8.5:11. But if you think there are any better crop ratios for that photo that aren't going to cost a premium I'm open to suggestions, thanks.

Loxley all the way. Having recently visited a photovision trade show and seen most of their products first hand I can assure you the quality of their work is nothing short of superb.

I thought this would be the case anyway as I have been ordering wedding albums through them for years :p

12" is very small, that would look amazing much bigger

i know its down to budget, but if you can try to get bigger

Completely agree with you. My mum is buying it as a birthday present, I tried to explain the whole point of such a canvas print is to get something big that stands out. :p

Originally she said 8x8 would probably be ok!

So I'm chipping in towards it for the sake of my artistic pride if nothing else. :D I just hate receiving mediocre presents and hate giving them even more, lol.

I'd definitely prefer 24" long edge, though I will no doubt end up spending much more than I planned to. :o

What do you guys think about cropping though? Maybe also removing the arm of the chair in the foreground that's she's sitting on? I find it a little distracting myself.
