Hey.

A Corsair 300R case arrived this morning and I was keen to get installing into it. I moved (or am trying to) my existing hardware to this new case but I do have a few problems relating to the installation of the motherboard.

Firstly, in the middle of this case is a random "screw" which is not like the other mounting points in the case. This can be hard to describe so I have used my ultra HD phone camera:)

Image overview of the case around that area (middle mount I'm talking about is top middle :) )

What is this? Do I align the motherboard for it, do I put something ontop (I can't see anything relating to it in the accessory pack)

Also, when I try to align everything the motherboard can't seem to get all 9 ATX mounting holes. Often I can screw about 7-8 and the last ones are just not possible to screw.

I have ran out of ideas what to do and am rather lost. Have now been trying for hours:( My mother board is a Z77X-D3H Gigabyte board and my setup installed fine in my older case.

Thanks in advance :)

Sorry for the big images. It seems I cannot edit my post :( If I could I would just paste the link to the image. Edit: Fixxed it :D

Thanks for ll your replys. In the end, I had to use a bit more force :D Was a little scary hearing small "tin foil like" sounds but everything seems OK. I do have another issue, which is probably 99.9% not related to the new case so I will make a new thread:)

Thanks again
