I've restarted my old thread due to the topic name. This is what i've built

ABIT IP35 PRO
Q6600
4 GIG GEIL PC6400C4
BFG 8800GTXOC2
CORSAIR 620W

I've managed to build it up, start and load vista. However every time i reboot the machine, i get a few different POST CODE fault codes, one being C1 and the other being 52. The only way i can get the machine to boot up is by clearing the CMOS each time, which clearly is a bit pants:(

Suggestions so far: changing the Voltage of the ram, i'll have a go at this in a sec. I trust the bios is the place to do it?

Also to do a memory test via a webpage. i cant seem to open the download at the moment, so any suggestions?

I have tried taking out one set of ram so far, just had the same issues, i'll try taking out the other set and just using single sticks in a mo. Was interested in the ram voltage though, i think it's defo running too low. Will try and adjust that also...
 
Well, i tok out the other set of RAM, reset the CMOS, changed the Voltage in the BIOS and it booted ok. Restarted ok, turned of and back on ok:)
Put the second set of RAM back in, turned the beast on and.....




WOOT, we're rocking!!

All i have to do now is put the second HDD in then set up my network card! It's taken me 10 hours so far, i'm goosed! Still i can sleep well tonight now, thanks to you gents:)
