So today I sold my PS3 and bought a Corsair TX750 V2 cost me £92 >.< as my Hiper was useless and from what people have said on here is total rubbish.

As the other day I got a Gigabyte HD 6870 1gb and after getting my powersupply thought finally I can game again but no I was wrong...

Upon starting up the PC I straight away saw some weird blueish things on the screen on the Asus startup which lets you go into the bios.

Got into Windows and its all messed up weird colours and screen resolution is big so are the icons etc.

I then downloaded the drivers best as I could but still no joy the screen was still 256k colours and would not let me change the resolution.

I checked the graphics adaptor and it was reporting it being 8mb!!

Restarted the PC, still got the weird blueish colours, got to the windows screen and had lines going across, pc froze then screen went black and then the monitor power button went to standby.

So all in all I guess the card is faulty? I went back to the local shop they took it back and whilst I wait for a replacement they gave me an ATi 4550 512mb which works fine.

But I am thinking how can the card be faulty? It's brand new looks absolutly mint and I just cannot work it out *cries*.

There are so many parts that go into making a graphics card, it only takes one to be faulty or fail to make the card faulty. You have just been one of the unlucky few to receive one. On the bright side of things you now have a good psu. The hiper i had never failed on me but it was always at the back of my mind when i found out they are famous for failing and taking the rest of your machine with it.

Some are just faulty mate or go faulty minute you power them up and if you powered it up on the hiper as a test and well that could have damaged it too. Always use a good quality PSU for that reason, cheap PSUs can take out your components or as in your case damage them to the point they wont ever work right again.

Just wait for a replacement mate and be happy nothing else is borked after all that.

Well I gave it back to my local store and they have shipped it back to Gigabyte so in the mean time just using a HD 4550 thats doing the job well enough so i can at least come online and play WoW lol.

Here's hoping Gigabyte send out a replacement asap.
