Hey guys, i have recently upgraded my rig, i've switched my motherboard to a: MSI K8N SLI, and ive switched my 6800gt to a BFG Geforce 7900GT. (my old rig is still on my old sig)

My problem is, ive updated the latest drivers for the graphics card and the motherboard. But when i run a 3D Mark 05 test i get 4800 ish, im apprently supposed to be getting around 8000. When i check the core and memory frequencies on the graphics card i see

Core frequency: 475 (correct)
Memory clock frequency 680 (not correct, exactly half what it should be!)

I expect that the low memory clock will be the reason for the low score. But my question is, why is this wrong. I never formatted the pc when i upgraded, it seemed to pick up everything and i upgraded with no problems at all.

On the motherboard there are two PCI - E slots, i have tried plugging it into the bottom because this is for Non sli mode ( only have x1 7900gt).

Is there some sort of bios setting i need to turn on, please help i have no idea what else to try!

EDIT: On the Nvidia Geforce 7900Gt graphics card information part it says:

BUS: PCI Express X 1

I dont know if thats meant to be right, ive plugged it in the long yellow pci-e slot, i dont know if its meant to be x1 ???

Supposed to be running at 16x, is its definately in the right slot, as on some boards one slot runs at 16x and the other runs at 1x in single card mode. :)

No problems when formatting, ive just switched the slot the gfx card was in and i worked a treat, the picture in the manual is pure rubbish. Think everythings sorted now, im getting 7866 on 3D Mark 05.

However when i try to overclock i still get the same memory clock frequency of 680 and im still unsure why it says this?

Any help on that issue would be appreciated!
