going to be using the AMD piledriver 6300 but im having a tough time deciding what motherboard to get.

i have been looking at many reviews of a lot of amd motherboard and a lot of people have their motherboard fail after a couple of month or even hours, some may not post and you have to pay with your own money to ship.

so basically im scared to buy a motherboard because it might fail and im already on a tight budget (£600) so i dont want to spend more because i cant afford to. so i need your help deciding what mobo to get and your personal experiences with a few of them. thank

Think I pointed you to that 900 chipset gigabyte cheaper board.

Reason being is it is cheap as you are on a budget and gigabyte have great customer support should you have a problem.

Nope. If a board is built well and not massively abused then it should last as long as any other.

The reason why you see a trend with people having AMD boards not suited to them is not because the board fails or is faulty, but rather people buy the cheapest board they can and just look at the compatibility list. Just because it is compatible, doesn't mean it will work well or safely.

Boards like the Asrock Extreme 3 were not designed to take AMD high power fx CPUs and so the power design of the board throttles or fails because people essentially expect more from the board than it was designed to take. You don't get this as much with Intel chips, NOT because of quality but because they are lower power and so the Power Phase design doesn't need to be as sturdy.
