having trouble installing windows 7 on my new laptop

Hi,

My p177sm laptop arrived and I ordered it without an OS because I have a full copy of windows 7 ultimate. When I try to install it it loads as far as the windows icon then just stays at that and does nothing. No idea why

Specs
I7 4700 cpu
16gb corsair ram
Radeon 8790 4gb gpu
750gb 7200rpm HD
128gb Samsung SSD

Could it be something to do with the way the hard drives are set up? Any ideas?

is the bootable media original disc or burnt? have you tried making bootable USB flash drive?

As above, perhaps remove the mechanical during install as well

Its the original disc. What do you mean by removing the mechanical? Sorry im not good at this type of stuff. Il try to boot it from usb later
