Ok so after numerous attempts and running into a blue screen each time during install I'm giving up and looking to the community to help :).

The blue screen is a : ( with similar wording to "Your PC ran into a problem and needs to restart. We're just collecting some error info, and then we will restart for you". "WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR" is the error code that I am receiving.

I can post full specs of required but I have a new build and am having problems installing windows from a USB stick. I've tried two just to rule the other out.

I've tried burning my windows cd to ISO and using rufus, same issue blue screen after the initial install.

Tried using Microsofts ISO using the media creation tool, then using rufus. Same issue.

I have then tried using the media creation tool to create a USB bootable O/S, guess what, same issue :\.

I'm wondering if it is my SSD - It's a Samsung 850 / 250GB.

This caused me a massive headache last night. Should I try to install this on my mechanical drive to rule out the SSD next?

When do you get the bluescreen? Before the setup and after booting from media?

You could try unplugging your SSD and try booting from media again to rule it out.

first thing I would do is try with 1 stick of memory in and do a clear cmos and set the sata ports to achi after doing the clear bios.

I would check both the power cables from the PSU to the motherboard and make sure they are both securely connected or even re seat them if they look ok.

I boot up the bios and select the USB stick to install windows, this loads up I select my language, click install now, enter the CD Key, it begins to work its magic. Restarts and then that when I run into the blue screen.

I may have a look at this next but might contact OcUK customer service before hand as it's their build.

was it a pre built system with a overclock applied to it and no OS installed?

No overclock and no O/S. However I did look at the EZPC settings to see what I would get out of it. Should I restore the bios back to default settings and see if that changes it?

I have had a quick look online and some have said its a voltage issue on the CPU which is why I suggested a clear CMOS option or in the bios set it back to defaults.

I would try that and see if it fixes the issue, taken from one of the sites I googled

it is generated directly by the CPU and passed to windows. I have looked at the error in the windows debugger many times. Most of the time it is a error generated by the memory controller inside the CPU complaining about a cache error. if you post your memory dump I will dump the data in the debugger for you using the !errrec command. (there are many errors that the CPU can generate)

You will want to check your voltages in BIOS then boot a memtest86 CD and confirm that your hardware works as expected.
- I guess you would also want to confirm your CPU fan is also working, same with your power supply.

Well turning off the overclock and restoring the defaults have got me a little bit further.

I just had an error stating that windows couldn't install on my hardware. Now every time it tries to boot states that it couldn't complete the installation and for me to restart the installation :\.

Yeah, thanks :D. Now waiting for GTA V to DL. I need to see if I can re-apply the EZ overclock without it causing issues now.

Got a few things to look at as well such as fan speed whilst playing games. Seems to kick in almost instantly and is quite noisy.

check cpu and gpu temps as well :)
