Lo all,

I'm completely ******.

I started having stability issues with windows so I thought I would do a full format and re-install of XP home SP2.

I got most of the way through setting everything up again until I hit some trouble. Certain bits of software would install and then not open, or in the case of NOD it would install and run fine but it won't keep the updates it downloads off the internet so it has to update again after every restart.

Now I can't install anything. I click on the .exe and it opens the installation app and then gives me an Internal Error 2232.

I've tried searching for the error and haven't found a fix. I've tried running reg scans etc but they haven't fixed the problem.

I decided to re-format and do it all again, tried to activate windows and had to phone up microsoft because i'd used up my allotted number of activations. This was fine except I've now re-formated 3 times running into different problems and every time I've had to phone them up. I would have thought after the first time it would have let me carry on.

I'm sick to death with ******* windows and all this ****. every time I try and fix a problem I generate a hundred more. I've never had a smooth format and re-install even with slipstreamed versions of the OS but this time it's just taking the ****.

Does anyone know what error 2232 is and how it can be fixed before I do yet another format or throw my computer out of the window?

Cheers
