recently purchased an identical monitor for another project and was thinking of adding as a second, are their any disadvantages two this, does it use more resources when gaming ect, also when i come to setup the 2nd screen any advise on that? when i play BF3 im only gonna wanna use one screen and not want the mouse going over to the next one

Nearly all games lock your mouse on the screen of the game unless you enable Windowed mode. The second screen will keep displaying what it normally displays without affecting gaming performance (unless you play a movie or something like that of course). You cannot interact with it unless you alt tab out of the game.

Setting up with Win7 should be as simple as plugging it in and you're done. If not (or with older Windows versions) go to the display settings and hit detect screens. Select the screen and set it to 'extended' mode.

I roll with 2 monitors, and in the case of games if you want to adjust brightness you have to be in fullscreen mode - bare this in mind (when i was playing CSS i wanted to adjust the brightness but when I changed it nothing happened until i was properly in fullscreen mode).

It's useful to have temperatures and teamspeak etc on the other monitor, well worth it if you dont have a second already!
