Hi all

Im having big problems with my Sky wifi, For ages now its been pucker no connection issues and all ran smoothly.... The missus changed the bedroom around and didnt move the box so it was under the bed which is why i thought was the reason for the issues we've had over the last week, i moved the box to the front room in the open but still these issues happening...

- I've done a wifi analyser and it reads well in both areas

- I've reset the box but still no joy

The issue is constant as if theres no wifi strength but its showing Full bars, Ive noticed when the missus watches catch up it really stuffs up and my phone has issues on the Internet, What i dont understand is this wasnt an issues over the last 6 months of having Sky

Presumably as you followed the 3rd step suggested in the reply I posted to your previous thread, you did 1 and 2 as well? The results would help establish what’s going on here.

Shot in the dark: When she watches catch up, she’s using a few mbit/s, that could be all of your available bandwidth, we simply don’t know without some sync speed data and you doing some basic testing, ideally via a wired connection. Does putting the router back where it was help? For the avoidance of doubt not under the bed, where it was before the ‘move around’.

It could be that one of your neighbours has got a new wifi router thats on the same channel and is drowning you out. Try a different one in the wireless page.

Do you have any wired computers (like a laptop with wifi turned off and cabled to the router) that you can test to see if its affecting everything and not just wifi?

How fast is the connection supposed to be?

Connect using an Ethernet cable and compare the results.

If it's slower than it's supposed to be when connected using a cable report it as a fault and let Sky investigate.
