Im figuring best time to clock it is this heat, if it works now its gone work for ever.

I got a trusty Asus p5w deluxe and a E2220 with one of them artic coolers on that used be good.

Anyone know a safe voltage that i can crank the cpu up to?

As the asus utility just says auto?

Also any tips or easy ways on this cpu?

cheers guys im just being incredibly lazy i know:D

I'd just increase the fsb in the bios on stock volts untill it becomes unstable. Then bump up the voltage a tad then carry on untill it becomes unstable again etc. Remember to check temps with Core temp, real temp etc

yeah i can remember the basics. but is ther any way of finding out the default voltage. as ive looked around on intels site and cant see anything and in my bios it just says auto.

Also what a rough max voltgage to go for really?

getting the odd random restart, but my temps are not high so ive upped voltage. See what happens then!

EDIT by the way i think i have a E2180 or E2140 some where would this be better to use?

The higher multiplier on your E2220 should come in handy so keep going. I have had a E2140 and a E2180 both prime stable at 3.6Ghz so they are capable of very good clocks.

does anyone know how i adjust my voltage as the bios saus auto and i need to turn off C1 or EIST

I cant get it to go.
